Description
What you’ll do: Evolve and expand core platform capabilities – design and deliver shared services like account structures, user management, roles & permissions, authentication and single sign-on, events & notifications, and the AI framework that underpins the entire Bettercomp product Drive technical product strategy – partner with engineering to make smart architectural decisions, balance technical constraints with product needs, and build systems that scale. Enable internal teams – treat other product teams as your customers. Understand their needs and build capabilities that unlock their roadmaps. Shape product process – bring your experience with high-functioning cross-functional product development to help elevate how the entire team works Balance internal and external needs – understand what enterprise customers require from platform capabilities while ensuring internal teams can build efficiently on top of your work What you bring: 8+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with significant time on platform, shared services, or infrastructure teams Deep technical fluency – you understand system architecture, APIs, data models, microservices, and technical trade-offs well enough to be a genuine thought partner with engineers Systems thinking – you see how pieces fit together, anticipate downstream impacts, and design for flexibility without over-engineering Experience with multi-tenant platforms – you've worked on account structures, user management, permissions, or similar foundational capabilities Internal stakeholder savvy – you know how to build services that other teams actually want to use, and you've navigated the dynamics of being an internal platform team Product process maturity – you've seen what good cross-functional product development looks like and can help others learn from your experience Nice to have: experience with design systems or common UI components – we value PMs who appreciate both backend architecture and frontend experience Why you’ll love it: This is a chance to take a strong foundation and scale it fully. You'll work with a nimble, experienced engineering team with momentum and organizational support to invest in core services effectively. You'll architect foundational systems with intention – evolving account structures, permission models, and AI infrastructure that everything else builds on. These systems will get the resources and attention they deserve. You'll establish our AI capabilities from the infrastructure up, working on the patterns and services that enable our entire AI roadmap. And you'll work directly with product and engineering leadership to elevate how the team works – bringing your experience with effective product development to help the entire organization level up.
