JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

Position Summary
The Senior Product Manager will play a critical role in transforming the healthcare revenue cycle. This role will design solutions that help get patients access to the level of care they need faster, while reducing friction & driving efficiencies with patient care coordination between HCA Healthcare and insurance payers. This position will work cross-functionally across enterprise teams to guide products from ideation to launch and beyond.
Scope of responsibility will include the Record Viewer Platform as well as the Revenue Cycle Products currently enabled by the platform. Record Viewer, built on the Patient Insytes data product, is the first enterprise implementation of AI at HCA—focused on driving efficiencies and improving revenue/ reducing denials from insurance payers.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Own vision, strategy, & agile planning (e.g., monthly release, quarterly planning) for the Record Viewer Platform & associated Revenue Cycle products (e.g., Clinical Summary, Payer Viewer). This includes partnering with user-facing product teams to create / facilitate a cross-product vision for the platform (as applicable)
  • Define & track metrics / key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously value of IT investment in the platform & products (e.g., north star, driver, supporting, & diagnostic metrics)
  • Establish annual and/or quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs) to define measurable goals and outcome tracking, making use of established metrics / KPIs in goal setting process
  • Manage the full platform & product lifecycle from discovery through delivery & ongoing support, ensuring alignment with business goals and clarity across key stakeholders / the product squad.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including analysts, engineers, and other product teams dependent on platform, & business stakeholders — to design and deliver high-value solutions.
  • Follow an incremental delivery approach (e.g., proof of concept, minimum valuable product), making and testing hypotheses along the way, to maximize outcomes over output.
  • Facilitate agile scrum processes & contribute to ceremonies across dependent product teams.
  • Drive user-centered design practices (e.g., UX research, design sprint, story mapping, prototyping)
  • Prioritize features & enhancements based on data-driven insights and stakeholder input, focusing on highest value items and balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic roadmap.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business teams (Parallon and Digital Transformation & Innovation [DT&I]), other product teams, & users.
  • Monitor market / industry trends in healthcare and technology (e.g., artificial intelligence, data science), to inform product strategy & innovation.
  • Monitor roadmaps of key businesses (Parallon and DT&I) & technical/enabling teams (Data Office, Artificial Intelligence) to ensure consideration within the product strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, & responsible AI policies, standards, and procedures as applicable throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Proactively communicate risks, blockers, & roadmap status updates to stakeholders, & recommend risk mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Maintain visibility of current product priorities as well as future plans (roadmaps, backlogs).
  • Measure & communicate value delivery / KPI / OKR achievement to key stakeholders.
  • Advocate for scalable, secure, & efficient solutions that reduce insurance denials & improve patient care coordination.

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7 or more years of experience in product management, business analysis, product analysis, engineering, architecture, project management, consulting, or another relevant field required
  • 2 – 5 years people management or product team leadership preferred
  • 1 – 3 years revenue cycle domain knowledge / experience preferred

Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

  • Agile Certification preferred
