The Senior Product Manager for IoT Devices & Connected Solutions is responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for American Innovations' next generation of remote monitoring units, sensors, platforms, and industrial IoT accessories. This role owns the product lifecycle from concept through commercialization and plays a central role in aligning hardware, firmware, mobile, and cloud software strategies into a unified customer value proposition. You will improve customer experience by equipping commercial teams with compelling, problem-solving products backed by world-class support. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategy & Market Leadership Develop long-term product strategies that protect core business, expand into new IoT market segments, and capitalize on emerging technologies. Conduct competitive research and market analysis. Build deep understanding of customer workflows. Drive Go-To-Market and NPI strategies. 2. Planning & Roadmapping Build product roadmaps aligned with company vision. Translate customer and business needs into detailed requirements. Partner cross-functionally across Software, Hardware, Firmware, Mobile, Operations, Support, Sales, and Marketing. Evaluate legacy product functionality and define migration strategies. 3. Execution & Development Support Collaborate with Agile teams using Kanban/Scrum. Participate in sprint reviews. Integrate field support insights into updates. 4. Enable Internal Teams for Success Train Sales, Support, and Marketing teams. Partner with Marketing on messaging and collateral. Inform pricing strategies. Support customer-facing teams with product knowledge. Requirements Summary Responsibilities Define long-term strategy, roadmap, and market positioning for key IoT product lines. Identify customer pain points and translate them into clear requirements and user stories. Work closely with engineering teams across hardware, firmware, cloud, and mobile. Lead the NPI process and drive cross-functional alignment for product launches. Evaluate legacy systems and guide migration to modern, scalable IoT solutions. Enable Sales, Support, Marketing, and Services with training, messaging, and collateral. Act as the internal and external expert for your products—customer visits, demos, events. Monitor field performance and integrate insights into the product roadmap. Qualifications 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in IoT, hardware+software, or industrial technology. Proven success defining and launching complex hardware-enabled SaaS or IoT solutions. Strong understanding of embedded systems, connectivity protocols, cloud platforms, and mobile workflows. Expertise in Agile development processes and cross-functional leadership. Exceptional communication skills—able to articulate technical concepts simply. Experience creating roadmaps, business cases, requirements, and GTM plans. Customer-obsessed mindset with passion for eliminating friction and improving experiences.
