Karbon is looking for an experienced Product Manager to take a new initiative from concept to market launch and beyond. You will work on everything from market analysis, design, build to go to market activities. We want you to have a passion for SaaS products and be willing to roll up your sleeves and build this new product with high autonomy. This is an office-based role at our new office on Pitt Street.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years experience in a Product Management role delivering high-quality solutions
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and passionate about building great products that meet our customer’s needs
  • Experience working on SaaS apps that target businesses or consumers
  • Driven to understand customer insights and champion their voice
  • Analytical skills and desire to dig into the data to understand user behaviour and success metrics
  • Ability to create roadmaps backed by solid business cases
  • Ownership of the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through design, development, and release
  • Champion the backlog of small-sized customer requests into Sprints
  • Contribute to sprint planning by balancing features, continuous improvement tasks, tech debt and bugs
  • Be a team player who is able to establish rapport, credibility, and trust throughout the organization at all levels

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and product, and drive a vision for your aspect of the Product roadmap.
  • Continuously collaborate with Karbon customers and stakeholders to understand pain points, opportunities and requirements.
  • Analyse user needs and feedback.
  • Analysis of data to understand user behaviour and success metrics.
  • Follow our competitors and the industry, understand the market and contribute Product ideas.
  • Champion the backlog of small-sized customer requests into Sprints.
  • Assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize features, epics, stories and themes to ensure work is aligned with product strategy.
  • Ensure that your sprint team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on.
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.
  • Run the Sprint retrospectives.
  • Ensure the final product is user-centric, whilst considering the efficiency of delivery and business needs.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance testing of bugs and features.
  • Report bugs and errors to the development team and aid in their successful resolution.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships both within the development team and the wider organisation.
