JOB SUMMARY

At Ofgem, we’re revolutionising the way we manage regulatory information to provide transparent, accessible records for the public. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us and lead the transformation of our electronic Public Register, shaping a strategic and robust platform that will enhance regulatory publishing for the future.

We’re offering a permanent role where you’ll take ownership of a full-scale transformation project to overhaul our electronic Public Register. This role provides the opportunity to develop an integrated, future-focused product that will have a wide-reaching impact across Ofgem. As the lead on this project, you’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver an efficient, user-centred solution.
You’ll be a key part of a forward-thinking and collaborative team that values innovative approaches to problem-solving. With exposure to multiple teams and the opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders, you will have the chance to shape Ofgem’s digital journey and gain insight into the wider energy sector.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in Agile development and product management, who can lead effectively and manage stakeholder expectations across different needs. You should bring excellent organisational skills, an aptitude for prioritising tasks, and the ability to tackle complex challenges.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the product strategy and long term vision.
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlogs.
  • Key liaison between the business, IT teams and external suppliers.
  • Change request management and cost/benefit analysis to ensure value for money.
  • Contribution to requirements gathering, including review and sign-off.
  • UAT planning, managing and tracking.
  • Ad hoc internal user assistance and troubleshooting.
  • Optimise the value of development work undertaken and ensure all colleagues have sufficient understanding of product backlog items.
  • Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, communicating the vision and roadmap regularly.
  • Support the design, maintenance and embedding of Ways of Working.
  • Share knowledge and good practice.
  • Support the Principal Product/Solution Owner.
