Senior Product Manager (Operator Panel) at SpotHero: The Senior Product Manager is responsible for identifying and executing on our biggest, most cross-cutting product bets at SpotHero. In this role, you'll lead Product Management for the Operator Panel Squad, owning the strategy and roadmap for the tools that power the supply side of our marketplace. While focused on a single product area, you will also work across the organization to tackle our most complex marketplace challenges and explore net-new opportunities. You will be the architect of long-term product strategy, driving innovation that solves the "last quarter mile" of mobility while ensuring our marketplace flywheel remains balanced and scalable. On the Operator Panel squad specifically, you'll define the pillars of our B2B strategy as we build upon our fundamentals of portfolio insights, rate and inventory management, and remit reporting. You'll partner closely with engineering, design, partnerships, and revenue teams to translate operator needs into a roadmap that builds trust, improves pricing, and ultimately powers demand on the consumer side of the flywheel. What will you do: Drive 3-5 Year Strategy: Lead the development of long-term product visions that moves SpotHero’s current offerings into new and exciting places. Product Growth and Expansion: With an understanding of the company’s competitive position, balance continued growth in areas with proven product-market fit while identifying and developing new product opportunities. Lead High Visibility Initiatives: Own high-risk, high-reward "Strategic Bets" that require deep cross-functional coordination, such as major partner integrations or transformative marketplace shifts. New Product Innovation: Facilitate discovery for unmet market opportunities. You will lead the high growth phase of existing and new products, validating hypotheses through rapid prototyping and experimentation before transitioning them to dedicated squads. Influence Without Authority: Serve as a peer-coach to fellow PMs, helping to level up the organization’s overall product craft, documentation standards, and discovery methodologies. Executive Evangelism: Act as the primary product voice for your product offerings and expanding adjacencies, translating complex technical roadmaps into clear business impact stories. Who you are: Strategic Architect: You excel at finding clarity in ambiguity and can map out short term and long term roadmaps that anticipate market shifts. You generate insights and ideas that create a competitive advantage. Master of Discovery: You lead by "design thinking" first. You are comfortable running workshops, interviewing customers and stakeholders, and using generative research to kill bad ideas early and double down on winners. Prioritizes Business Impact: Evaluates business value and costs when determining which opportunities the team should tackle. Applies that analysis to ideas originating from the team as well as stakeholder requests. Systems Thinker: You understand the interlocking nature of a two-sided marketplace. You see how a change in the driver’s search experience impacts the operator’s remit and the support team’s contact rate. Manages Complexity: You make good calls with incomplete information, can hold contradictory inputs without paralysis, and know when to act decisively versus when to slow down and de-risk. Mission-Driven: Defines and tracks success metrics aligned with company mission, prioritizing high-impact outcomes informed by market research, data analysis, and business needs. Global Mindset: Focuses on how the contributions of a single initiative enable success for the entire company, not just one squad. Relationship Building: Investing in high-level relationships with executive leadership and external partners to achieve shared goals. What you bring: 5+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of launching and scaling successful marketplace or B2B products. Expert-level experimentation skills: Deep experience with A/B testing platforms (Optimizely), product analytics (Mixpanel, Looker), and behavioral research. Deep analytical skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Mode). Technical Depth: Familiarity with APIs, machine learning models, and complex system architectures (e.g., migrating from monoliths to microservices). Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience; MBA or technical background preferred. Strong communication and storytelling skills: Able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment within a tech company. Compensation in Illinois: Depending on your skillset and experience, you can expect your base salary to be between $116,000 - $145,000 as well as a discretionary bonus and leading total rewards package. Compensation in Ontario: Depending on your skillset and experience, you can expect your base salary to be between CA$128,000 - $160,000 as well as a discretionary bonus and leading total rewards package.
