Job Summary/Objective
Identifies new, innovative initiatives to help drive existing and new product offerings in the market for the collision repair portfolio.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)
1. Organizes and tracks progress for assigned integrations and product initiatives within the collision shop solutions.
2. Manages an internal cross-functional forum designed to connect small business units with products/services in the collision shop solutions and provide updates on initiatives, integrations, and programs.
3. Manages the development of external councils.
4. Researches creates, and champions thorough business cases to justify investments into key initiatives, including leading market research such as customer surveys, competitive analysis, and debriefs to inform business cases.
5. Performs discovery with customers and stakeholders to understand needs of the marketplace to support prioritization activities as well as investment into new market segments. Uses data to develop high-quality insights into our customer’s user experience and needs.
6. Helps define the product strategy based on market input and Voice of the Customer (VoC) that aligns with overall strategic direction.
7. Collaborates with marketing and customer-facing teams to help enable teams to sell, implement and support assigned integrations and initiatives where applicable.
8. Develops and manages select relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), third parties, and other external industry professionals.
9. Develops a technical product strategy and translates it into creative, high-quality, features, and initiatives.
10. Creates and maintains collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organization to develop a deep understanding of our business, and continually iterates on product strategy.
11. Builds and grooms a prioritized product backlog effectively by leading negotiation and trade-off discussions with key partners.
12. Leads Program Management and development teams toward the right priorities. Sets clear expectations on projects, and product launches, and coordinated release plans.
13. Partners with business and marketing teams to craft and evolve comprehensive product portfolio messaging and supporting assets for both internal and external stakeholders.
14. Creates documentation on key workflows and processes to inform product requirements, leadership decision-making, and organizational awareness including excellent user stories, with thoughtful acceptance criteria, that can be translated into engineering features. Partners with UX team in developing stories that will provide the optimal customer experience based on research and customer feedback/validation.
15. Works closely with the engineering teams to design, schedule, and deliver in an agile environment.
Education
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required with a focus in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work and industry experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered.
Experience, Skills and Key Competencies
At least 4 years of experience as a product manager, 5 or more years working in the technology industry, and a proven background using data to support decisions, recommendations, and actions.
