Description
About the role As a Product Manager at Shipium, you will own problems end-to-end across the full product lifecycle—from early-stage opportunity exploration through delivery and continuous iteration. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and tactical execution: you will contribute to identifying net-new platform capabilities while also working embedded with engineering teams to ship high-quality features. You will operate in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with Leadership, Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Services, and Network Operations. Your success will be measured by your ability to identify the right problems to solve, define clear requirements, deliver working software, and drive measurable business outcomes. What you'll do Exploration & Discovery Synthesize signals from across the organization (carrier roadmaps, competitive intel, sales feedback, emerging technologies) into opportunity candidates Draft Opportunity Briefs and maintain the Opportunity Backlog for leadership review Facilitate monthly Exploration Reviews with cross-functional stakeholders Conduct Jobs-to-be-Done research, customer interviews, and hypothesis validation Size opportunities with evidence and define success metrics before building Product Definition & Delivery Write detailed PRDs with clear scope, success metrics, and acceptance criteria Collaborate with engineering on API design, data models, and technical specifications Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand-ups to maintain velocity Make real-time trade-off decisions on scope, timeline, and quality Create and execute acceptance test plans; conduct UAT Manage feature flags, phased rollouts, and release coordination Troubleshoot and triage product issues with engineering Launch & Iteration Drive launch readiness and execute staged rollouts Monitor adoption metrics and triage launch issues Own shared launch KPIs with Product Marketing (adoption, conversion, satisfaction) Analyze usage data, run experiments, and drive continuous improvement Conduct post-launch reviews and capture learnings Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with Product Marketing on positioning alignment, launch tier decisions, and GTM readiness Support Sales with product expertise, demos, and solution scoping Coordinate with Customer Success and Services on implementation feasibility and support readiness Engage Network Operations on carrier roadmaps, operational constraints, and regulatory signals Communicate product updates to internal and external stakeholders Qualifications Required 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS Proven track record shipping products from concept to launch in agile environments Strong requirements writing skills (PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria) Strong analytical skills with the ability to define KPIs and measure product success Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools Preferred Experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain software Experience with API-first product development Familiarity with JTBD or similar discovery methodologies Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate documentation and analysis Technical fluency: comfort with API documentation, system architecture discussions, and engineering collaboration At Shipium, Employees enjoy full medical, dental & vision coverage (with 50% coverage for dependents), optional life insurance and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, fully remote work-from-home options in 25* states, 8 paid weeks of parental leave, 12 paid holidays annually, self-managed vacation time, sick & safety leave, and volunteer time off.
