Our Global E-business team is about serving our customers better, faster and smarter by strengthening our Route to Consumer [i.e. how we engage with our distribution partners and outlets to put HEINEKEN beers in everyone’s hands], understanding our customers deeply through customer-centric approaches and driving this through cross-functional collaboration.
We achieve this by digitising all touchpoints, including distributors, sales representatives, telesales, and customer care, to serve our customers in a better, faster and smarter way.
What will you do as a Senior Product Owner – Search & Back-End services
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our eCommerce search experience as well as manage adjacent back-end services that drive the search experience. You will own the roadmap from both a front and backend experience including search relevance, ranking, and personalization, ensuring that our customers find what they’re looking for quickly and efficiently. You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, UX designers, and business stakeholders to deliver a world-class search experience that drives revenue and customer satisfaction.

Your roles & responsibilities:

• Define and execute the search product roadmap to improve relevance, ranking, and personalization
• Manage key back-end services to improve the user experience of our products in partnership with our other back-end teams
• Leverage data and analytics to measure search performance and drive continuous improvements.
• Partner with engineering teams to develop, test, and deploy search algorithms and AI/ML-based enhancements.
• Work closely with front-end and design teams to optimize search UI, filtering, and autocomplete functionality.
• Own and prioritize the backlog, user stories, and requirements for search-related and other back service features.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor innovations in search and AI-driven discovery.
• Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to improve search conversion rates.
• Advocate for customer needs by leveraging qualitative and quantitative research.

Who you are

We are looking for an ambitious professional who has demonstrable experience in leading teams and managing stakeholders (Agile leadership through facilitating leadership). Someone who has experience with customer-focused technology and experience with agile methodologies & Scrum. And further you will have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably in Search, AI, or eCommerce.
• Strong understanding of search algorithms, NLP, and ranking models.
• Experience working with search platforms like Elasticsearch, Solr, Algolia or similar platforms.
• Ability to analyze search metrics (CTR, zero-result rate, abandonment, etc.) and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of A/B testing, personalization, and AI-driven search enhancements.
