The Role As a Senior Data Product Owner, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of data and analytics product workstreams, acting as the bridge between Product Managers, Data Engineering teams, and Analytics stakeholders. While the Product Manager focuses on leading the product vision and strategy, your role will be to ensure high-quality execution of analytics and data-driven capabilities, working closely with engineering to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions. This role is highly hands-on and technical, requiring strong involvement in data pipelines, transformations, dashboards and analytics product design, not just backlog management and delivery. You will also own and lead well-defined data initiatives, helping build a market-leading analytics platform that delivers measurable value to customers. What you will own- Backlog Management & Prioritization (Data-Focused): Own and manage the product backlog for data and analytics features Collaborate with Product Managers to align backlog priorities with product strategy Define clear user stories with strong data context (metrics, transformations, data flows) Ensure backlog reflects data requirements, dependencies, and technical considerations Data Product & Platform Ownership: Work closely with engineering to define: Data pipelines (ETL/ELT) Data transformations and ingestion workflows Customer data schemas Analytics-ready data structures Contribute to decisions around: data modeling (e.g., star schema, dimensional modeling) data quality, consistency, and performance Help shape how data is structured, stored, and consumed across the platform Delivery Execution (Analytics & Data Systems): Ensure data-related backlog items are delivered in alignment with roadmap goals Work hands-on with engineering to validate: data accuracy transformations output correctness Own delivery of customer-facing analytics features, dashboards, and reporting capabilities Stakeholder & Customer Collaboration: Engage with customers to understand analytics and reporting needs Translate business questions into data-driven product requirements Partner with cross-functional teams: Engineering Data Design Customer Success Refinement & Continuous Improvement: Drive backlog refinement with strong focus on data clarity and technical feasibility Improve processes around: data delivery analytics quality product outcomes Identify opportunities to improve: data structures reporting capabilities analytics performance Product Quality & Data Integrity: Ensure all delivered features meet: product quality standards data accuracy and reliability expectations Monitor key delivery and analytics metrics Collaborate with Product Managers to optimize existing analytics features Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Data Product Owner / Analytics Product Manager Strong experience working on: data platforms, analytics products, or BI systems Hands-on experience with: data pipelines (ETL/ELT) , data transformations and data modeling concepts (star schema, dimensional models, etc.) Solid working knowledge of: SQL (joins, aggregations, querying) Experience working closely with: data engineers / analytics teams Strong analytical mindset and ability to break down complex data problems Preferred Qualifications Experience with BI tools such as: Sisense, Power BI, Tableau, Looker Experience with cloud data platforms: Snowflake, Redshift, DataBricks, BigQuery, Azure Synapse Experience building: customer-facing analytics products Familiarity with: data governance and data quality Even if you don't have all of the Preferred Qualifications listed above, but feel you have what it takes to succeed in the role, we would love to hear from you!
