DESCRIPTION

The Senior Production Controller will plan and lead the end-to-end production process, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing of garments that meet our RI standards for quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a deep understanding of garment production, and the ability to manage complex workflows across multiple teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, manage and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Lead production operations ensuring deadlines and standards are met. Ensure any production issues or delays are resolved quickly minimising impact.
  • Ensure garments are planned in the correct factory & location, competitive prices are paid and high standard of quality is achieved.
  • Balance RI demand, production capacity and material availability to optimise the production process and provide flexibility
  • Lead speed to market and test & react model for RI to achieve fast track deliveries
  • Liaise with fabric suppliers, production teams, and logistics to ensure smooth coordination of materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Key communicator for the Buying, Design and merchandising teams
  • Oversee trim buying and cloth orders to ensure best prices, avoid shortages and overstocking
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance regulations
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in production planning and department processes.
  • Monitor production performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement strategies for process & profit improvements.
  • Prepare and present weekly reports on production progress and issues to senior management
  • Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance and training to enhance overall team performance.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in management production schedules and operations in a senior or lead role
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities Nurturing and supporting the team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality control.
  • Strong knowledge of garment production processes, including cutting, stitching, finishing, and packaging.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Production planning, factory knowledge, factory management experience is required
  • Profitable costings meeting RI Requirements and KPI’s
