Description
Senior Production Draftsperson Mirrastone | Sherridon Homes | Derrimut Location | Onsite Parking | Great Team There comes a point in your career where you're no longer chasing the next job. You're looking for a business with good people, strong leadership, and somewhere you can see yourself for the long term. If that sounds like you, we'd love to have a conversation. Mirrastone is one of Victoria's leading residential builders, with trusted brands including Sherridon Homes and Royston Homes. We've built our reputation on delivering quality homes. Still, just as importantly, we've built a team of experienced people who genuinely enjoy working together and take pride in their work. We're looking for an experienced Senior Production Draftsperson to join our team at our Derrimut office. This is a role where your experience will be valued. You'll be responsible for reviewing and preparing production drawings, managing plan amendments, maintaining drafting quality and accuracy, and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure homes are delivered in line with Victorian building regulations, the NCC, and the Small Lot Housing Code. As part of our continued investment in the future, we're currently transitioning from AutoCAD to Revit. Ideally, you'll already have experience using Revit or have had exposure to it in your current or previous role. You don't need to know everything, but you should be comfortable embracing new technology and keen to continue developing your skills as we move through that transition. We're looking for someone who has experience working for a Victorian volume builder, has a strong technical understanding of residential construction, enjoys solving problems, and takes real pride in producing quality work. You'll be someone who works well with others, communicates openly, and is trusted to get the job done without being micromanaged. In return, you'll join a stable and growing business where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. You'll be supported by approachable leaders, work alongside experienced colleagues, and have the opportunity to contribute to the next chapter of our drafting team as we continue to evolve our systems and processes. This is a full-time position, 1 day WFH, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, based at our Derrimut office. If you're looking for a role where your experience is respected, your contribution matters, and you can build a long-term career with one of Victoria's leading residential builders, we'd love to hear from you. Please note that previous experience with a Victorian volume home builder and unrestricted Australian working rights are essential. Experience with Revit, or exposure to it, will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
The role involves reviewing and preparing production drawings and managing plan amendments to ensure accuracy. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure homes comply with the NCC, Small Lot Housing Code, and Victorian building regulations.
