Description
We are currently supporting a high-tech manufacturing company undergoing a major transformation of its production environment. The company is redesigning its existing factory and simultaneously evaluating the setup of a new facility from scratch. To ensure long-term success, they are looking to strengthen their competence within cleanroom production and contamination-controlled environments. This is not a junior or maintenance-focused role. We are seeking a senior specialist who can enter the organization, assess the current setup, challenge existing practices, and define clear actions for improvement. About the role You will act as production’s counterpart to R&D, translating technical and process requirements into robust, scalable industrial solutions. The role combines strategic capability-building with hands-on implementation in a production setting that requires cleanroom standards and contamination control. Your responsibilities will include: Assessing and defining cleanroom strategies and ISO-class requirements in production Translating R&D specifications into feasible industrial production setups Defining and implementing methods to prevent contamination Leading competence development and training of production personnel Advising on facility requirements, cleanroom zoning, airlocks, material flows and building specifications Contributing to long-term factory design decisions, including ISO-class targets and investment implications This is a role for someone who can clearly identify gaps, propose actionable improvements, and guide the organization toward best practice standards. The expectation is not that you need extensive onboarding – rather that you bring the expertise and help show the way forward. Profile We are looking for a senior production engineer with: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cleanroom production environments Practical experience working with different ISO-classes and a strong understanding of what they require in reality – operationally, methodologically and in terms of facility investments Experience from industries such as Semiconductor, Medtech, Pharmaceutical or similar high-cleanliness production environments Broad production understanding and ideally experience from building up or significantly upgrading production environments Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within engineering This role is suitable for a senior specialist who values impact over title – someone motivated by applying their full competence in a complex and evolving industrial environment. The assignment is initially planned for the coming year, with strong likelihood of extended need as factory transformation continues. If you are looking for an opportunity to apply deep cleanroom and production expertise in a setting where it truly makes a difference, this could be the right next step.
