Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Senior Production Engineer – Industrialization to drive the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing technologies for new and existing products. The ideal candidate will combine technical excellence with cross-functional collaboration to enhance quality, efficiency, sustainability, and robustness across our production processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



    • Lead the realization, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing technology for new and existing Schaeffler products.

    • Initiate, drive, and coordinate the development of manufacturing processes using statistical measures to improve quality, efficiency, sustainability, and process robustness.
    • Conduct process investigations to fine-tune equipment and process set-ups, considering product, material, tooling, and location requirements.
    • Review new technology launches for product design and material feasibility, cycle time impact, tool definition, and quality.
    • Support production teams by identifying and solving production issues sustainably, utilizing statistical and digital methods for troubleshooting.
    • Create and maintain all necessary manufacturing process documentation, including technology release documents and set-up instructions.
    • Apply standard process and equipment benchmarks and ensure compliance with international and regionally defined manufacturing norms.
    • Develop and negotiate specifications for equipment and tooling with suppliers, including managing timing, investment, validation requirements, and equipment/tool validation.
    • Collaborate closely with Schaeffler Operations manufacturing technology networks, business divisions, and central functions such as Purchasing, IT, Maintenance, and Quality.
