Management Level: M2 Position Summary Assisting in controlling expenses. Ensuring compliance with federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements. Interpreting and enforcing company policies. Maintaining a non-union program. Assisting in determining manpower needs and making recommendations. Preparing and maintaining records and reports to accurately reflect conditions. Solving problems effectively with sound follow-up. Collaborating with department heads to meet production quality, yield goals, and metrics while maintaining labor standards and performance quality. Inspecting and maintaining high standards in housekeeping, safety, sanitation, security, and food safety. Managing, evaluating, and training production supervisors. Overseeing all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the plant manager. Requirements Education: High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred. Experience: 5+ years of related industry experience. 5+ years of supervisory experience in a meat processing facility (pork or beef preferred). Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HAACP regulations. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, from hourly staff to upper management, as well as government officials. Special Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Supervisory Responsibilities: Managing subordinate supervisors who oversee team members in the plant. Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Interviewing, hiring, and training team members. Planning, assigning, and directing work. Monitoring and appraising work performance. Rewarding, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members. Addressing complaints and resolving problems. Travel: 0-20% Other Requirements: Leading by example, accepting and delegating responsibility. Displaying sound judgment and decision-making skills. Efficient problem-solving with sound follow-up. Strong managerial skills. Excellent safety and attendance records. Ability to work with department heads to meet safety, production, and quality yields and goals.
