Job Description NOTE: This position is located at Nordstrom's downtown Seattle headquarters and follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one remote workday each week. Our talented fashion design team, the Nordstrom Product Group (NPG), develops, designs, produces, and sources all Nordstrom‑brand products. As a Senior Production Planner for Nordstrom Product Group (NPG), you will lead a team of Production Planners and support facilitating production management for private label from order commitment through in store. You will advise, and maintain updated process documents tied to order writing, order validation, PO management, and work in progress. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, motivated, with strong time management skills, detail-oriented accuracy, and curiosity to identify efficiencies and continuous improvement. The individual will engage with external suppliers overseas and internal partners including merchandisers, product managers, and product developers, merch analysts and multiple supply chain teams to support on time delivery and quality customer service to internal and external teams. Additionally, you will drive increased accuracy for production planning tools, and purchase orders to our manufacturers. The ideal candidate is motivated, results-oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day. You must be data driven, collaborative, and find value in working in a cross functional and matrixed environment. A day in the life… Lead, manage and develop an effective group of production planners through performance feedback, goal setting and development plans. Provide ongoing training and support Support team by being experts across purchase order process steps, on time delivery, PO accuracy, ticketing/compliance and calendar milestones Partner with compliance and/or transportation to ensure manufacturer adheres to corporate compliance policy. Partner with accounts payable to assist team with supplier cost discrepancies Building and nurturing relationships with internal partners and external suppliers through both verbal and written communications The individual will set an example for direct reports by being solution oriented, resourceful, and always curious while engaging with external suppliers overseas and internal partners on production opportunities Engage with internal team to action on reorders/chase, production planning and accurate, on-time delivery. Identifies process gaps and provides recommendations for improvement through root cause solutioning Support corporate initiatives, and lead team through change management You own this if you have… BS or BA degree or equivalent work experience in related field Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience high-volume retail purchase order management 3+ years’ experience managing and leading a team preferred Proficient in Microsoft 365 Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet (primarily excel navigation, formulas, and pivot tables) Knowledge of an Oracle or SAP system preferred Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills #LI-Hybrid #LI-CH We’ve got you covered… Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits.
