The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Facilitator to join our Choose Change Men’s Behaviour Change Program. You will work within the Family Domestic Violence Response Team (FDVRT) Armadale, delivering early intervention and engaging directly with people who choose to use violence. Your work will contribute to increasing the safety of women, children, and young people through proactive engagement, risk assessment, safety planning, and coordinated responses across partner agencies. Embedded within the Armadale Police District FDVRT, you will engage with perpetrators identified through Domestic Violence Incident Reports, meeting them during home visits with FDVRT partners (Police, Coordinated Response Team, Communities), at the Armadale Police Station, or at the Communicare Armadale office. As a Senior Program Facilitator – Choose Change, you will conduct tailored risk and safety assessments, make referrals to relevant services, support both individual and group delivery, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. In this role, your key responsibilities will include: Facilitating individual intervention for people who choose to use violence in intimate relationships and supporting them toward positive behaviour change. Contributing to risk assessments, safety planning, case management, case notes, and report writing. Conducting specialised intake assessments of potential clients. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Responding to crisis situations and supporting clients experiencing emotional distress. Maintaining accurate program evaluation and reporting data This position will be located in Armadale and offered on a fixed full time basis working 76 hours a fortnight until January 2027. About You You are passionate about keeping women and children safe from family domestic violence, coupled with a desire to help people change their behaviours by being educated on FDV. Additional to this, you will have: Tertiary qualification in a human services field, and/or significant experience in a similar field. Intermediate facilitation skills. Ability to respond to challenging behaviours and have an understanding of the origins of these behaviours when working with clients. Cultural competency to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and people with disabilities. Advanced communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Valid driver's licence, Police clearance, Working With Children Check, and willing to obtain a Department of Justice integrity clearance.
