JOB SUMMARY As an integral member of the College & Career Success (CCS) team, the Career Success Senior Program Manager (SPM) will oversee all aspects of the Career Pathways program, a 10-session virtual career mentoring program for our junior and senior college Scholars. This SPM will work with CCS Program Managers to recruit scholars for each program, work alongside a Corporate Coordinator per corporation to populate program days and help recruit volunteers, match students with volunteers, and facilitate programs (following curriculum). Along with this, the SPM will serve as the case manager for all fifth-year scholars (and their CCS mentors) and provide alumni engagement support for recent graduates of the program. They will also play the lead role in the development and implementation of all career access curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a firm belief in the power of mentoring, demonstrated experience working with upperclassmen college students, a clear understanding of the barriers facing first-generation college students, and experience with developing and facilitating relevant workshops to young adults related to career exploration and success. Additionally, the College & Career Success Program is an innovative and developing service delivery model at BBBS of NYC. The SPM will also strongly contribute to overall program design, implementation, management, and evaluation. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Career Pathways Program Management: Facilitate 5-6 Career Pathways programs per year to support career success. Work with corporations to recruit volunteers, hold information sessions, and populate speakers for guest panels. Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure a smooth volunteer onboarding process for prospective mentors. Work alongside CCS Program Managers to recruit scholars, hold info sessions, select scholar cohorts, and support Career Pathways matches as needed. Contribute to the development of funding proposals and reports. Attend external meetings for professional associations and partnerships as needed. Program Development: Utilize data tracking and program evaluation methods to analyze program impact and participant needs, and adjust curriculum as needed. Serve as one of the departmental leaders in developing new tracking and data collection systems in partnership with the Quality Assurance Department. Act as the primary expert on all career success-related training and workshops internally and externally. Create & implement one-off career-focused workshops as needed. Other responsibilities as needed. Year 5 Case Management: Provide tailored, individualized coaching and guidance and deliver workshops and resources to fifth-year CCS scholars and their mentors, with a focus on college completion and career access. Maintain regular contact with matches to assess the strength of mentoring relationships; proactively address barriers and leverage both internal and external resources for college completion and career exploration and success. Update records on a routine basis; assist with statistical reports, demographic, and outcome tracking. Input all survey data into our database. Create and maintain department forms and documents. Manage and/or contribute to CCS newsletter to promote resource access and program engagement. Alumni Engagement & Support Build structure to CCS alumni engagement strategy including but not limited to maintaining regular communication with graduated scholars, updating contact info, collecting survey data, and organizing alumni events. Collaborate cross-departmentally to engage alumni in mentor recruitment, marketing opportunities, speaking engagements, and fundraising. Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS: Passion for and alignment with the mission and values of BBBS of NYC. 5+ years’ experience working with upperclassmen college students in a formal career success program or in a career advising setting. Track record of successfully supporting upperclassmen college students in navigating job, internship, and/or graduate school applications. Project management experience is highly preferred. Experience engaging and managing adult volunteers; comfort building relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Skilled, expert facilitator comfortable delivering programming and curriculum to a diverse set of stakeholders both in-person and virtually via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
