Description
About the Role As Senior Program Manager, Engineering, you will own end-to-end execution for consumer electronic programs – from concept through ramp and sustaining – aligning Engineering, Design, Operations, and GTM teams. You’ll drive schedule, technical risk management, cost targets, and manufacturing readiness, and you’ll be accountable for leadership-level communication and decision making velocity. What You'll Do Program leadership and accountability Own integrated program plans (requirements → EVT/DVT/PVT → ramp) and drive cross-functional execution against schedule, scope, quality, cost, and launch readiness. Lead program governance: phase-gate reviews, exec readouts, decision logs, and clear escalation paths. Systems Execution Own integrated program plans (requirements → EVT/DVT/PVT → ramp) and drive cross-functional execution against schedule, scope, quality, cost, and launch readiness. Lead program governance: phase-gate reviews, exec readouts, decision logs, and clear escalation paths. Risk, quality, and validation Run end-to-end risk management: FMEA-driven mitigation plans, reliability strategy, test coverage, and validation sign-offs. Partner with Operations to deliver DV/PV plans, reliability testing, and field issue triage. Manufacturing & supply chain leadership Lead engagement with contract manufacturers and key suppliers: readiness plans, tooling milestones, build planning, yield tracking, and issue resolution. Drive DFM/DFT outcomes and manufacturing ramp metrics (first-pass yield, top defects, throughput constraints). Cost & launch readiness Manage BOM/COGS targets, tradeoff decisions, and cost-down roadmaps with Engineering + Ops. Ensure launch readiness across packaging, labeling, regulatory, serviceability, and sustaining plans. Team effectiveness Build operating rhythm that scales: templates, dashboards, meeting hygiene, and continuous improvement that reduces surprises. What Success Looks Like in This Role Programs hit EVT/DVT/PVT gates with clear exit criteria and minimal rework. Risks are identified early; mitigation plans are funded and executed. Builds run smoothly; yield improves predictably; top issues are closed fast. Concise communication focused on risks, decisions, and next steps. Product ships on time with quality, cost, and customer experience intact.
