JOB SUMMARY

Battelle is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Environmental and Public Health Epidemiology within our Health Research and Analytics Business Line. The position location can be remote with preference for Crystal City, VA or Columbus, OH on a hybrid schedule. Consideration for staff in North Carolina is provided. Periodic travel to Columbus, OH and the Washington, DC area is required.
As a Senior Program Manager, Environmental and Public Health Epidemiology you are responsible for overseeing and growing the Division’s work in Environmental Epidemiology. This role serves as the lead for capturing and executing $50M+ contracts. You are also a key manager for coaching and mentoring team members on shaping, structural, organizational, and partnership requirements to win $50M+, and $100M+ awards.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree Public Health or Technical field; at least 12 years of experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in business development, program management or technical management; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge of health analytics concepts, technologies, and use cases, specifically utilizing new or cutting-edge approaches to data, models and technology
  • Master’s Degree or higher, preferably in Epidemiology or similar professional experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
Responsibilities
  • Recognized expertise in program leadership of Epidemiology with a focus on Environmental Epidemiology.
  • Proven track record in successfully capturing $50M+ opportunities for federal contracts AND developing the teams and processes to grow capture excellence.
  • Expertise in managing $50M+ programs according to federal requirements and at “exceptional” levels of program execution.
  • Knowledge of federal market and competitive landscape across both DoD and civilian health agencies
  • Proven ability to take complex technical and scientific concepts and turn them into clear and concise verbal and written forms.
  • Demonstrated understanding of capture processes to win new business including: the gate review process; developing a capture strategy; planning capture milestones, managing a capture team, ensuring the capture is executed on schedule and budget, identifying and bringing on partners and teammates, and identifying/mitigating risks to the capture.
  • For proposal efforts, ensure timely development and delivery of compliant, responsive, innovative and integrated technical solutions and management approaches that are competitive and cost effective.
