We design, build, and operate Microsoft’s global datacenters, delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for over 200 online services—including Azure, Office 365, Bing, Xbox Live, Skype, and OneDrive.

Our team is responsible for:

• Critical infrastructure delivery: From design and equipment procurement to construction and commissioning.
• Operational excellence: Managing datacenter operations 24x7x365 across 90+ countries.
• Innovation and sustainability: Driving automation, data-driven engineering, and environmentally responsible growth.
• Capacity and demand planning: Ensuring optimal utilization of infrastructure to meet global customer needs.

Within CO+I, the Global Operations Center and Incident Management (GOCIM) team empowers datacenter operations by delivering comprehensive support that ensures rapid detection, notification, and coordinated response to critical events. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Program Manager to join this dynamic team.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving strategic programs that impact the broader organization. You will:

• Lead program landscape research and analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Scope new initiatives and enhance existing programs to deliver measurable value.
• Define and track success criteria and performance metrics.
• Develop tailored landing and communication plans to ensure program adoption.
• Share best practices and communicate effectively to gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Manage a portfolio of complex projects, including timelines, milestones, financials, and resource allocation.
• Provide strategic insights into how people, processes, technology, and systems interconnect.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and evaluate performance against value drivers.
• Use data to inform strategy and execution.
• Advocate for and influence organizational priorities, driving alignment and encouraging behavioral change across teams.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.
This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
• OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ years experience leading incident response in a Critical Environment.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 12+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
• OR equivalent experience.

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
