JOB DESCRIPTION
In order to be able to supply our customers across Europe quickly and in accordance with our quality standards, our European distribution centers are an integral part of the zooplus network. Logistics service providers are operating the 11 Fulfillment centers all over Europe. As zooplus is growing fast a constant increase in fulfillment capacity is required. Zooplus fulfillment automation strategy is leading to retrofits of existing FCs and high complex intra logistics solutions for new FCs.
In this role, the Senior Program Manager Logistics is owning the projects around new Fulfillment Center launches, Fulfillment Center extensions, retrofits, potential Fulfillment Center closures as well as Supply Chain related topics and amendments. In this role you are responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, identifying risks and ensuring the in-time delivery of the project in accordance with the project goals. The constant growth of our Fulfillment Network requires a permanent review of processes and technology used, as well as the further development of standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in the field of economics or engineering, preferably with logistics/ SCM focus or comparable education
- Minimum of 3 years of sound working experience in a comparable position on 3PL side or solution provider side
- Experience in a Supply Chain Management environment, preferably knowledge about Fulfillment Center Launches
- Experience in coordinating medium to highly complex role related projects
- Sound experience in common methods of project management (e.g. project plans, timelines, LOPs etc.) as well as lean management
- Sound understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes and technical requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of distribution and intra logistics, preferably in a retail / e-commerce or mechanical environment.
- Advanced knowledge of the standard MS Office program
- Numerical view, analytical mindset and cost conscious
- Good communication skills and a high customer orientation
- Hands on mentality
- Fluency in English (spoken & written); preferably German or other languages
- Willingness to travel (up to 30%)
- Driving License (European Countries)
Responsibilities:
- Project owner for extensions, retrofits and bigger FC launches
- Help to drive the strategic development of the Projects & Analytics Team
- Leading and owning cross-departmental projects related to capability increase of the fulfillment network
- Analyzing service levels and continuous improvement of warehouse processes and costs in cooperation with the logistics service providers and FC management
- Implementing systems to improve cross-functional communication and knowledge sharing
- Foster close cooperation with all FC managers, IT Development, Supply Chain and Transportation Team
