Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture.
Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture.
The Fabric Service Health & Reliability team is responsible for standardizing service metrics across all Fabric workloads, aligning and driving cross-workloads service health processes, and analyzing service health trends across workloads and scenarios.
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager who will be leading cross-functional initiatives with a focus on improving and scaling the service health processes. This is a pivotal role to ensure we provide an industry-leading experience for our customers. This is an opportunity with great business impact. REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • o OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

PREFERRED/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with data visualization and reporting, e.g., Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience and proficient understanding of service operations at scale.
  • Detail and results oriented.
  • Ability to clearly prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel.
    Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with various engineering teams to scale and drive large cross-functional process and service health initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on program management throughout different phases of the rhythm to support ongoing operations.
  • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quick adaptation to market and service changes
  • Define performance metrics and lead data-driven analyses to identify opportunities for service improvement and enhance process efficiency.
  • Lead cross-disciplinary efforts, engaging engineering and data science, to derive and develop tools and services that facilitate data-driven decisions for continuous service improvement
