THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Project or Program Manager to lead software development for a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail. The role is to be based in Williamtown, NSW.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading complex software intensive projects
  • Familiarity with defence domain
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the program team to deliver software releases directly to the weapon system and to wider Wedgetail development projects integrating combined hardware / software changes.
  • Accountable for the application of Program Management Best Practices to the Software Development Team
  • Accountable for the overall performance of the software development program to E-7 Development Program Manager and directly to the customer
  • In consultation with the customer and wider Development Leadership Team and project stakeholders allocate resources to program needs that evolve dynamically.
  • Develop metrics to objectively demonstrate performance and value created by the team, and reporting to provide clear linkages from investment to outcome for the CoA.
