Hawthorn Composites, a division of Spintech Holdings, Inc., delivers high-value, complex composite parts using advanced manufacturing methods such as resin transfer molding, comolding/cobonding, and prepreg-based finished components and assemblies. The Senior Program Manager will lead cross-functional teams at our Miamisburg, OH facility to drive program success, ensuring schedules, budgets, quality standards, and customer expectations are consistently met.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of technical program management experience, including 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven ability to translate complex requirements into actionable plans and decisions under ambiguity
• Demonstrated track record managing budgets, schedules, and performance metrics in aerospace or defense programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with executive and customer audiences
• Familiarity with aerospace/DoD technical drawings, quality standards, and regulatory processes
• Eligibility for U.S. government security clearance
• Willingness to travel up to 15%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active U.S. government security clearance
• PMP certification
• Expertise in MS Project scheduling and Epicor ERP systems
• Experience supervising or leading engineering teams
• Background in hardware manufacturing, composite fabrication, or technology development

• Create and manage long- and short-term schedules that align engineering, production, and external vendors with program milestones
• Coordinate internal resources and vendor partnerships to meet customer and company goals
• Monitor schedule, budget, and technical performance; deliver regular status reports to leadership
• Communicate transparently with customers—using MS Project, PowerPoint, and technical data—on program status, successes, and challenges
• Partner with the Director of Engineering, VPs of Programs and Operations, Sales, and other stakeholders to plan and execute initiatives
• Develop and maintain risk registers; drive risk-abatement plans to mitigate program threats
• Collaborate with quality and regulatory teams to uphold AS9100D and DoD requirements
• Mentor engineering staff on decision-making frameworks and program management best practices
• Perform and/or lead engineering tasks as necessary to ensure program success
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to document, train, and refine Hawthorn’s program management methodology
