QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • Previous Value Stream Lead, Program or Project Management experience required

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Program Management systems including manpower planning, program scheduling, cost controls, risk / opportunity, and earned value management preferred
  • Experience in operations and production flow management including supply chain oversight preferred
  • Experience with space system products and services preferred
  • Knowledge of aerospace contracts preferred
  • Experience with proposal preparation and customer negotiations preparation
  • Knowledge of aerospace policies, procedures and system requirements including quality, manufacturing and program management preferred
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external customers

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Accountable for all internal and external customer commitments including deliveries, schedule/cost/financial performance, and negotiations/ proposals
  • Leads complex teams with matrixed responsibilities over sub-system teams across multiple sites
  • Accountable for entire performance of the assigned value stream and influences matrixed IPTs decision making and communicating the policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to the cross-functional team
  • Drives a positive impact on customer satisfaction through regular customer interface and execution of project scope to meet contract requirements, including delivery schedules, cost, and technical specifications
  • Regularly influences and negotiates to achieve and/or exceed enterprise commitments
  • Leads decision making for the IPTs and applying critical thinking where incomplete data exists
  • Develops internal and external networks and effectively communicates and motivates a team
  • Communicates vision to their IPT and stakeholders within and outside of the function, as well as connects how the vision fits within the Space market
  • Impact over projects large in scope. Plans, directs, and monitors collateral budget and leads key strategic value streams with long-term revenue potential with an impact lasting 5+ years
  • As the successful candidate, you will be required to manage multiple programs
  • Generation, identifying growth opportunities to increase sales and profitability, managing all
  • Serve as the Capture Manager for new business opportunities, to include developing customer relationships, win strategies, developing estimates, management of timely submittals of major proposals and contracts, and conduct successful customer negotiations
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, proactively managing risk and opportunities with respective mitigation and harvest plans
  • Be responsible for earned value management of assigned work to ensure on-time and within budget completion, including work performed at subcontractors
  • Organize and conduct program status reviews, team meetings, and various other regular business activities
  • Support the establishment and implementation of a strategic growth plan for the business
