Organizational Context and Scope Under the direct supervision of the National Officer, and the overall supervision of the deputy Chief of Mission, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the support in the implementation of projects and programmes under the Climate Action and Disaster Risk Reduction Unit, as well he/she will provide support on UN coordination matters.   The Senior Programme Associate will provide  programmatic, coordination, and administrative support to the CAU Unit in Ankara. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the implementation of day-to-day project activities and will contribute to the implementation,  and monitoring of multiple interlinked initiatives, including: * MPTF Joint Programme (green transition, circular economy) * IOM–DF Pastoralism Project (ecological migration, resilience, livelihoods) * COP31 Preparations and Follow-up (national contributions, climate action coordination, technical inputs) * Additional CAU activities requiring programmatic, logistical, and reporting support.  * UN Coordination Mechanisms (Results Groups, Task Teams, and inter-agency meetings)
Responsibilities
The Senior Programme Associate will provide programmatic, coordination, and administrative support for projects within the Climate Action and Disaster Risk Reduction Unit. The incumbent will also assist in the implementation of day-to-day activities and contribute to UN coordination mechanisms.
