ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a Senior Programme Manager who brings:

  • A proven career in engineering or construction project delivery (building, structural, civil, or acoustic engineering ideal)
  • Demonstrable experience leading large, complex programmes across multiple workstreams
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing contracts, budgets, and risk
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and communication skills with senior stakeholders
  • A project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ) and ideally postgraduate expertise in construction law, commercial management, or an MBA

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Senior Programme Manager will lead the Project Management Office (PMO) and set the standards for programme delivery across the business. This includes:

  • Overseeing and delivering multi-faceted projects from planning through to completion, ensuring time, budget, quality, and compliance targets are met
  • Leading and developing a team of Project Managers and Coordinators, embedding a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Taking direct ownership of high-value or high-risk projects, ensuring risk is managed and value maximised
  • Applying expert knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC3/4) and law to safeguard our commercial position
  • Building strong, trust-based relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues across the organisation
  • Driving continuous improvement and introducing industry best practice in project planning, forecasting, and delivery
