Downer is seeking a commercially minded and detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant to support a portfolio of complex energy and resource projects across our Energy & Utilities business.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, this role is essential in providing financial insights, ensuring accurate project reporting, and partnering with operational teams to drive strong financial outcomes. • Partner with project managers to deliver reliable budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and margin reporting, aligned with Downer policies.
• Monitor and manage project billing, invoicing, and cash flow performance.
• Identify cost variances and provide actionable insights to improve project profitability.
• Support compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
