Wendel is looking for a design professional that thrives in a fast paced and team focused working environment. Wendel is headquartered in Buffalo, NY, but we are looking for someone for our Richmond, VA office. The ideal candidate is looking for advancement in their career and an opportunity to grow our established presence in the southeast region.

THIS IS THE RIGHT POSITION FOR YOU IF:

• You love to execute project development from concept through construction while working with other design professionals.
• You are seeking to mentor entry level architects, in building envelope expertise, directing them in design, production and overall coordination of the design process and technical documents.
• You want to lead project and client meetings with other design professionals for projects under contract.
• You want to grow into a senior leadership role.
• You have a proven record of strong technical design and detailing skills.
• You have a comprehensive understanding of architectural specifications, international building codes, life safety code and ADA requirements.
• You are self-motivated and able to problem solve independently.
• You have a 4 or 5-year degree in Architecture.
• You have 10+ years of working experience in a design firm with strong design, construction document and construction administration experience.
• You are genuinely passionate about architecture.
• You have exceptional communication and organizational skills, and you thrive at working in a team environment.
• You have knowledge of design and construction programs like Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, Procore, SketchUp, Etc.
• You’re able to travel 10% of the time.

  Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000
  Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. Salary offered will be determined based the successful candidates’ relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary offered will also take into consideration regional adjustment factors.
