SENIOR PROJECT CONTROLS SPECIALIST:

On behalf of our Infrastructure client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Controls Specialist for a permanent role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Vancouver office.

SENIOR PROJECT CONTROLS SPECIALIST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Project Controls Specialist will oversee high-risk and highly complex infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed safely, with quality, within budget, and on time. This role involves leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple project activities, including quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory approvals.

SENIOR PROJECT CONTROLS SPECIALIST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Minimum twelve (12) years of project management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related discipline
• Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
• Advanced English skills, both written and spoken
• Experience with Earned Value Management and project controls

SENIOR PROJECT CONTROLS SPECIALIST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Program Management experience
• Advanced data visualization skills, including Power BI

• Plan, direct, and report on infrastructure and construction project activities
• Develop project and risk management plans for projects exceeding $100 million
• Manage quality assurance, engineering, stakeholder engagement, and procurement
• Complete project management activities using advanced project management software
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders through effective communication
• Establish standards for project implementation and monitoring
