Description
Oversee medium-high to high-complexity project activities. Apply project management methodologies to monitor, guide, and report on the progress of funded Technical Debt Remediation Initiative (TDRI) activities. Meet with activity owners to provide updates and guidance on scope, schedule, risks, issues, and costs, and report progress to management. Conduct monthly (or more frequent as required) meetings with assigned Project Managers. Monitor schedules, milestones, burn rates, scope, risks, and issues for assigned activities. Track and report any discrepancies across schedules, milestones, scope, risks, and issues. Analyze and discuss discrepancies with Project Managers to determine resolutions. Escalate risks or issues to the appropriate team or governance level when necessary. Guide and support Project Managers through change request processes. Ensure adherence to data entry and data quality standards. Verify that all required information is accurately entered into PMIS. Lead or contribute to reporting deliverables and data analysis. Provide coaching and guidance to Project Managers regarding their TDRI responsibilities. Support and mentor TDRO colleagues when required. Lead or participate in committees and project teams as assigned. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of project management trends, tools, and best practices. Analyze and recommend improvements to internal processes. 10+ years of recent experience in Project Coordinator or Project Management roles. 3+ years of experience using Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) or similar tools for data entry, tracking, and reporting (e.g., MS Project). 3+ years of experience working with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile frameworks or similar). 3+ years of experience tracking and monitoring schedules, milestones, scope, costs, risks, and issues. Must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance and have experience working with the Federal Government. French Bilingual candidates considered an asset. Must have a Canadian university degree or college/CEGEP diploma related to computer science, business administration, information technology, engineering or the equivalent as established by a recognized Canadian academic credentials assessment service. A copy of the degree or diploma must be provided upon request.
