Job Title: Senior Project Engineer Location: Lagos Reports To: Engineering/Project Manager Level: Senior Role Summary The Senior Project Engineer provides technical leadership and project oversight across all phases of engineering and execution. This role ensures project objectives are achieved safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards. The Senior Project Engineer mentors junior team members and contributes to continuous improvement of engineering and project delivery processes. Key Responsibilities Lead multi-disciplinary engineering coordination from concept to completion. Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and engineering deliverables. Provide high-level technical guidance and review of designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations. Oversee contractor/vendor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements. Manage risk assessments, change control, and technical queries (TQs). Ensure all engineering activities comply with HSE standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present progress reports to management and key stakeholders. Mentor and coach junior and mid-level Project Engineers. Drive process improvement and lessons-learned programs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, etc.). 8+ years of relevant engineering/project experience. Professional certification (COREN, PMP, PMI, PRINCE2, etc.) is an advantage. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
