Description:

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our expanding UK team on a permanent staff basis, located in our Aberdeen office. This includes studies, tenders and projects in the Offshore Energy market both local to the UK and on behalf DeepOcean’s other global offices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Higher Education Degree/Master/Bachelor (or equivalent) in relevant engineering or science subject
Minimum 5 years relevant in industry related role
Commitment to professional development and membership to an Engineering Institution is preferable.
Offshore experience is preferable
Experience with subsea construction, IMR, recycling (decommissioning) and survey inspeciton
Experience with ROV and subsea operations
Planning and accomplishment of marine operations according to industry standards

Responsibilities:

ROLE

Ensure that all engineering meets the requirements of all appropriate codes, regulations and standards
Liaise with Project/Tender/Technical Manager and/or Lead Engineer on deviations to engineering and contractual principles.
Deliver engineering and documentation on time to satisfy client and project requirements.
Perform concept evaluation and give guidance.
Step in and take a leadership role for specific technical solutions or act as lead if applicable.
Development of optimal technical solutions around available DeepOcean assets in response to client scopes.
Participate in offshore execution as required.

KEY TASKS

Perform engineering tasks according to the Engineering Procedure and in a safe and accurately manner
Delivery of commercially and technically optimized solutions that are aligned with the client and Company expectations and are fit for purpose.
Participate in offshore jobs as part of operation team
Assist in planning and execution of marine operations
Follow up design/fabrication of tools/structures
Organize mobilization and offshore operation
Ensure clients receive sufficient documentation and updates on progress, within the given deadlines
Develop and seek to improve procedures and project documentation
Liaise with HSEQS to ensure all project/tender specific HSEQS requirements are met and all necessary documentation is completed.
Guide Project Engineers within areas where experience/knowledge within a field/task is more extensive than others
