The opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Energy and Utilities team in Christchurch. In this role you will lead the successful delivery of key infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence, contractual compliance and strong commercial performance. You will play a critical role in managing projects up to 15 million in value, supporting project delivery teams and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. This is an opportunity to contribute to essential Three Waters infrastructure while developing your leadership capability within a high performing environment.   What we are looking for You will bring strong technical capability, leadership experience and a proactive approach to delivering safe and successful project outcomes. Key requirements include • Minimum 5 years experience at Senior Project Engineer level or above • Proven experience delivering Three Waters construction projects • Relevant engineering qualification • Strong knowledge across planning scheduling quality and cost control • Experience managing multiple projects and optimising resources • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to coach and develop teams • Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills • Strong analytical and problem solving capability • High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes • Strong communication skills both written and verbal • Commitment to driving a Zero Harm culture   What we offer At Downer we are committed to supporting our people and creating opportunities for growth and development.
