WHAT’S THIS ROLE ABOUT?

This role of a Senior Project Engineer – Energy Metering & DSR involves leading the technical aspects of energy site audits, installations, and project management to optimise demand response and capacity solutions. It combines electrical engineering, automation, and project leadership skills, with an emphasis on metering and control systems to support grid balancing and energy flexibility initiatives. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our team, focusing on energy metering, Demand Side Response (DSR) in the Capacity Market, and AMVLP projects. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee projects from planning through to commissioning, ensuring quality, safety, and technical excellence.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE A GOOD TECHNICAL FIT FOR THIS ROLE?

  • Strong electrical engineering background with hands-on experience.
  • Proven knowledge of BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), CT metering, and associated energy metering technologies.
  • Experience in DSR and capacity market projects.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in fault finding and commissioning.
  • Strong communication skills for working with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to project delivery.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
