Role Summary: As a Project Engineer, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to provide customized repairs for critical pumps in various services and industries. These repairs will often include design changes and upgrades which you will develop along with the design engineering team. You’ll also be responsible for quote creation on assigned projects. Note that while this role is intended to be filled by an engineer, an experience mill wright or mechanic that has worked on repairing rotating equipment in the past would be considered. Work location: Rancho Dominguez, CA. In-office position. Responsibilities: Responsible for work scope generation. engineering analysis & execution of multiple jobs pertaining to various customers Coordinate with the design Engineering team and obtain drawing approvals from the customer Support production by providing guidance on specifications, technical repair scopes and sourcing options for critical components and services. Attending production planning meetings to communicate the product requirement, specifications, timeline etc. to all applicable departments including Engineering, product management, production, quality, procurement etc. Review inspection packages to validate product performance and suggest modifications as needed Prepare inspection test plans and evaluate results Collaborate with the internal departments to ensure that the equipment is delivered to the customer on time as per the agreed terms & conditions Other duties as assigned based on the skills of the engineer and the requirements of the shop. Requirements: BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 5-7 years relevant experience Note that while this role is intended for an engineer, an experienced millwright or mechanic with 5+ years of experience working on pumps and rotating equipment would be considered as well Proficient with Microsoft Office programs Basic/Proficient understanding of CAD programs ( ie SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) Understanding of engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Effective verbal and written communications Preferred Experience / Skills: Industrial experience in development and design Able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and business groups globally Collaborative team player and self-starter capable of working under minimal supervision Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes are a plus Benefits Starting from Day 1: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (including FSA and HSA options) Life Insurance + Supplemental Life, Child, Spousal, and AD&D Insurance Short and Long Term Disability Retirement Planning, 401(k) plan, & Financial Wellness Resources Educational Assistance Program Time off Policies (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid vacation) Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
