Job Description Overall responsibilities: To lead and manage mechanical engineering activities for oil & gas projects, ensuring successful delivery in line with project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards while maintaining strict compliance with HSE and client requirements. Day to day responsibilities: Lead the execution of mechanical engineering scope for onshore/offshore oil & gas projects. Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications. Ensure compliance with Client standards, international codes, and project requirements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and instrumentation. Act as the main technical point of contact with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Oversee procurement activities including vendor evaluation, technical bid analysis, and material approvals. Supervise installation, construction, testing, and commissioning activities. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget. Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies and site safety requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams. Prepare and review project reports, method statements, and technical documentation. Provide end-to-end project engineering leadership across Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls disciplines for all offshore platform upgrade works. Ensure full technical integration of equipment such as compressors, dryers, receivers, piping networks, valves, switchgear, MCCs, DCS/ICSS interfaces, F&G, and utility systems. Conduct detailed review and coordination of engineering deliverables from all disciplines, ensuring full compliance with CLIENT Offshore Standards, International Codes, and platform operational constraints. Lead design freeze milestones, ensuring that Mechanical, Piping, E&I deliverables are aligned and clash-free. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage. Additional Information Experience Requirements: Experience level: 8+ years 03 years or more experience UAE or Middle East Minimum 03 years as Project Engineer on medium to large scale projects in similar business or industry HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams Skills & Professional Requirements: Strong expertise in mechanical systems (piping, static & rotating equipment). In-depth knowledge of oil & gas industry standards and best practices. Leadership and team management skills. Strong project planning and execution capability.
