Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Developments to join our Maintenance & Developments team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake the evaluation of externally designed Section 38 & 278 Technical Engineering Schemes to ensure the Highway Asset meets Regional and National Design Specification and Safety Standards.
  • Work with developers, consultants and stakeholders to achieve Technical Approvals in accordance with Regional and National Design Specification and Safety Standards to secure Legal Agreements under Section 38 & 278 of the Highways Act.
  • Coordinate with and carry out inspections as appropriate with Site Inspectors to inspect works for technical compliance.
  • To advise Highways Development Control/Planning Officers on acceptability of construction proposals and adoption issues that may arise.
  • Manage consultation, communication and liaison with clients and stakeholders including members of the public and elected Members to facilitate project delivery and maintain positive company reputation.
