Be part of a team that thrives on rising to the challenge of transforming lives for good.About the Position Join our team as a Senior Rail Signalling Project Engineer on an exciting Communications project based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.  As a Senior Rail Signalling Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the planning, coordination, and delivery of rail signalling systems within project requirements. This includes ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards while meeting project timelines and budgets. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative and effective signalling solutions. This role is supporting a Pilbara based project and therefore will be engaged on a FIFO arrangement with a roster of 14 days on and 7 days off, with a point of hire of Perth.Key Responsibilities: ­ Develop signalling design documentation and ensure alignment with project requirements. ­ Oversee the testing and commissioning of signalling systems, ensuring compliance with operational standards. ­ Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during installation and commissioning phases. ­ Manage signalling interfaces with other rail systems, including track, power, and communications. ­ Ensure accurate reporting of signalling progress and escalate issues as required. Manage the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of rail signalling systems. ­ Ensure compliance with relevant rail safety standards, codes, and regulations. ­ Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate signalling systems with other rail infrastructure. ­ Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager. ­ Identify and mitigate risks associated with signalling works. ­ Prepare and review technical documentation, including work method statements and risk assessments. ­ Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. ­ Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure adherence to project specifications. ­ Support the resolution of technical issues during project execution. ­ Ensure all work is performed in accordance with John Holland’s safety and environmental policies  To be successful: ­Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline. ­ Rail signalling certification (e.g., IRSE License or equivalent) is highly desirable.  ­Minimum 5 years of experience in rail signalling projects. ­ Strong knowledge of rail signalling principles, standards, and technologies. ­ Experience in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling systems. ­ Proven ability to manage subcontractors and suppliers. ­ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. ­ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. ­ Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD, signalling design tools).  What's in it for you when you join John Holland?
