Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest for a driven and ambitious Senior Project Engineer to manage the delivery of a major capital works program in Laverton, Victoria.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The ideal candidate would be part of a project delivery team supporting the Senior Project Manager.

THE KEY OBJECTIVES FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  • Project manage or provide project engineering support to deliver EPC/EPCM projects from project scoping and initiation, front end design, through detailed design, procurement, construction, hand over and close-out
  • Manage project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
  • Foster a culture of safe delivery, continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration

  • Minimum 8 years direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF)
  • A safety leader with demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all phases of a project
  • Proven experience in managing capital project portfolios in the chemicals / agricultural sectors.
  • Demonstrated project delivery skills necessary to initiate and lead project packages, develop design / implementation schedules, execution methodologies and provide on-going status reports to the senior management team and the client
  • Hands-on and performance driven Project Manager with demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a live operational environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • PMP or equivalent certification highly regarded.
  • Must be available to work onsite in Laverton, Victori
