We are going through an exciting period of growth and with that we have a great opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer – Lines to join us! This role will see you developing front end engineering solutions and/or delivering detailed designs for substations and lines projects across the Projects portfolio.
You will work with internal stakeholders, and Design and Installation Service Providers to ensure projects are delivered in a cost-efficient way and to high standards of quality
With a hybrid split (Office/WFH)), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of our Engineering Solutions team within our Distribution line of business.

THIS ROLE WILL DELIVER REAL OUTCOMES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide technical support into Customer and Company initiated projects across AusNet’s Electricity distribution network
  • Apply technical engineering knowledge to ensure efficient solutions can be reached on complex design projects
  • Develop and/or review scopes, detailed design and installation scope of works
  • Provide technical input into staging, constructability, operability and maintainability (COM) and safety in design reviews
  • Work closely with specialist engineers including Primary/Secondary and Lines teams and design partners to identify opportunities to develop new or improved standards
  • Support the Engineering Solutions management team by providing mentoring, informal training and support to other engineers
  • Take ownership of process improvement initiatives, specification and standard improvements and develop new methods where necessary
