The Opportunity

ACCIONA is looking for a Marine Senior Project Engineer to join the Construction Team. Reporting to the Project Manager you will assist with the marine construction for the Alkimos Desalinisation Project. Scope includes:

• Installation of 200t Precast Intake Structures to support supply of seawater to new plant
• Installation of 2m Diameter x 140m long HDPE outfall diffuser pipeline
• Plan, control and oversee offshore piling, drilling and grouting operations
• Plan and control complex offshore logistics and marine operations with all works conducted from a 1000t Jack up Barge with a 400t offshore Pedestal crane
• Plan and oversee Complex temporary works system and diving operations to support installation process

Responsibilities

• Contribute and drive engineering and design outcomes which support’s efficiency marine construction
• Construction of Offshore Temporary works structures and schemes
• Management of complex lifting and Diving operations
• Offshore Vessel management and logistics management
• Prepare budgets, accruals, and takeoffs and develop first principle estimates and monitor daily costs
• Reviewing design and construction plans, schedules, temporary works designs, method statements and job safety analysis and quality
• Conducting risk assessments, identifying hazards, and enforcing safety protocols to mitigate potential incidents.
• Act as a point of contact for technical discussions with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing updates on road header progress, challenges, and resolutions

Required Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Jack Up barge operations and procedures
• Experienced both self-delivery and sub contract management for offshore works
• Experienced in offshore piling, drilling and grouting works
