Description

Key Responsibilities * Plan, coordinate, and supervise all MEP construction activities from mobilization through project completion. * Review design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and identify potential construction issues. * Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth project execution and eliminate interface conflicts. * Monitor construction progress against approved schedules and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays. * Review subcontractor work programs, manpower deployment, and resource planning to ensure timely project delivery. * Manage and supervise MEP subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and company standards. * Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, installation quality, and compliance with approved methods and safety requirements. * Ensure all MEP works comply with applicable Dubai authority regulations, approval requirements, inspections, and testing procedures. * Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities with consultants, authorities, and clients. * Review RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation to support project execution. * Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting project status, risks, and mitigation plans. * Identify technical and commercial risks and work proactively with project stakeholders to resolve issues. * Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance, quality control, health, safety, and environmental requirements. * Support value engineering initiatives and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or performance. * Assist in project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, snagging, and final handover. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. * Minimum 8–12 years of MEP construction experience, with at least 5 years managing large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments in the UAE. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, ELV, and building services systems. * Thorough understanding of Dubai authority requirements, testing and commissioning procedures, and statutory approvals. * Experience managing MEP subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, and project management software. * Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. * Strong project planning and execution capabilities. * Technical expertise in building services engineering. * Stakeholder and subcontractor coordination. * Quality-focused with strong attention to detail. * Commercial awareness and cost control. * Risk assessment and mitigation. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
