We have an exciting opportunity for a Project/Systems Engineer in our Aircraft Systems department for the Quick Reaction Capabilities engineering team. Job Qualifications:

• Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
• Demonstrates a broad understanding of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership.
• Must be able to understand and apply new concepts quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level, or with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to complex problems.
• Must have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other departments, customers, government representatives, and/or professionals.
• Must have experience with software and hardware requirements development, system design reviews, and testing.
• Network engineering experience and knowledge desired.

• Provide systems engineering and technical management for the development, fabrication, testing, integration and maintenance of new or existing systems on GA-ASI, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
• Support the System Software Conceptual Design, Development, Integration, and Test Process with requirements development, design review support, and testing.
• Support software/hardware investigations for newly develop and fielded systems.
• Perform system analysis, develop system designs, and generate requirements; as well as develop and maintain project plans, estimates, and schedules.
• Represent the organization as the prime technical contact to customers and/or government regulatory agencies.
• Devise new approaches to resolve unusual or complex engineering problems.
• Direct activities of design or technical staff and lead a team of moderately experienced professional staff.
• Troubleshoot conflicting design/development requirements, difficult coordination requirements, and special material requirements.
• Support the development of test plans and manage the integration, verification and validation of systems through flight test and fielding.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting in test environments.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment to ensure that deliverables, budget and schedule are met successfully while working with multiple engineering disciplines.
• Manage and communicate status, risks, and action items throughout the program lifecycle.
• Develop and present technical material for engineering reviews and program status meetings.
