THE OPPORTUNITY:

Ashurst’s Transformation Management Office (TMO) is an integral part of shaping, defining, and delivering a portfolio of initiatives aligned to the Firm’s Strategy. The teams within Ashurst’s TMO monitor and govern these initiatives, as well as overseeing Ashurst’s Global Project Portfolio, ensuring frameworks, structures and processes are adhered to.
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to work with stakeholders, SMEs and other TMO resources to deliver complex initiatives across the firm.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting Business Leads to develop robust Business Cases, including financial measures.
  • Leading and directing project teams to ensure timely delivery of projects, keeping within budget and managing risk to the firm.
  • Planning, designing and proactively monitoring project progress; resolving issues and initiating appropriate action.
  • Actively seeking out project dependencies with other initiatives underway within the Firm and implementing effective management controls.
  • Facilitating a culture of continuous improvement and acting as a coach/mentor for Project Managers where required.

This is a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract role based in our London office with hybrid working.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of managing projects related to Elite 3E or another comparable financial system.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing and leading global projects through the full project lifecycle in a professional services company, ideally a law firm.
  • Experience of agile and waterfall project methodologies.
  • Advanced organisational and influencing skills, flexibility of style, attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high pressured, detail-oriented environment.
  • High degree of initiative and independent judgment with excellent troubleshooting, decision-making and follow-through skills.
