SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the delivery of large-scale, complex ICI projects and provide strategic leadership to the project management team. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects or programs, mentoring staff, driving operational excellence, and engaging with senior-level stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager will ensure alignment with corporate objectives, manage risks at the portfolio level, and contribute to business development and process improvement initiatives.
Location: 45 Rodinea Rd, Maple, ON L6A 1R3, occasional visit to project sites in GTA.
Hours of Operations: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST)

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • College diploma or Engineering degree.
  • 12+ years of construction experience, including 8+ years in ICI or High-Rise Residential project management.
  • Proven track record leading multi-million-dollar projects in sectors such as multi-storey residential, commercial, hotel, condominium, or long-term care.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire high performance.
  • Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Ability to represent the company at the executive level with clients, consultants, and community stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in ProCore or similar construction management software, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; working knowledge of Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, complex ICI/High-Rise Residential projects from inception to closeout, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with owners, contract administrators, design consultants, and senior stakeholders; foster long-term relationships and promote repeat business.
  • Oversee multiple projects or programs concurrently, providing strategic guidance and ensuring consistent adherence to quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
  • Mentor and provide oversight to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Site Superintendents, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Review and approve project strategies, estimates, work plans, schedules, and budgets; proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Lead contract negotiations with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favourable terms while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Oversee procurement and resource allocation to ensure the best value and optimal performance across multiple sites.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company safety programs, promoting a culture of safety on all projects.
  • Approve and review progress payment applications, change orders, and cost reports; monitor financial performance at the portfolio level.
  • Conduct high-level site visits and meetings to resolve escalated issues and support project delivery teams.
  • Guide project closeout processes, ensuring timely substantial and total completion submissions and compliance with lien legislation.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, business development initiatives, and continuous improvement of project management processes.
