Our work matters to millions. It’ll matter to you too. Join our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Senior Project Manager - Advanced Procurement on the Operational Team based in the Central Belt of Scotland and you’ll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work.

As a Senior Project Manager your role will be able to,

• Lead, manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the advanced procurement processes and activities for ASTI substations, underground cabling, and overhead line projects on behalf of the project leads.
• Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with supply chain,customers, partners, bid and project team.
• Ensure that procurement strategies align with project goals, budgetconstraints, and timelines while maintaining compliance with regulatory, technical, and safety standards.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with overall ASTIprogramme.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or projecttimelines.
• Identify, develop and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors. Continueto manage these relationships to understand terms and conditions, lead times,availability, performance, quality, compliance and on-time delivery to right first-time principles.
• Lead the development of new contracts with commercial to ensure clarity interms, conditions, technical standards and deliverables.
• Liaise with stakeholders to inform them of changes to budgets.
• Take a strategic view of subcontract package allocation and ensure contractualarrangements are in place
• Ensure procurement plans are available in line with the overall project plans, such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet scheduled deadlines
