Project delivery role, working strategically with blue chip clients throughout the Southern region, and nationally Broad role with variety, working across client businesses, industries, and projects, with a local Beca team of 35 project and programme management professionals Shape your career, with development and progression opportunities to suit your aspirations today and into the future Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity Play a key project delivery and leadership role in the South Island across the buildings and infrastructure project management field, where you will be a trusted advisor and project delivery practitioner. This is a unique opportunity to join the Beca Project and Programme team based in Christchurch, providing strategic advice and leadership across project management including leading projects from initiation and the design phase, through procurement, consenting, and into construction and handover. In this role, you will be applying your relationship-building abilities, along with your great communication skills, connecting across all parts of Beca and with our broad range of clients. Key role components include: Lead the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects from early planning stages to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business needs and delivering tailored project management solutions Apply robust project governance, risk management, and financial controls to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, confidently leading teams and influencing project outcomes Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to the development of capability and performance across the project team Use commercial insight and strategic thinking to solve complex challenges and deliver value to clients and the business Apply a knowledge of NZS 391X suite of construction contracts including experience acting as Engineer’s Representative / Contract Administrator Working at Beca will provide you with access to a truly multidisciplinary business where you can draw on technical experts and local South Island-based Principals to support delivery of significant and complex projects in multiple markets. These include the aviation, defence, education, commercial, health, transport and utilities sectors. Ko wai koe | About you To be successful in this role, you will have the credibility, confidence, and ability to operate across both small and large buildings projects. You will bring: 5–10 years of demonstrated experience in the buildings and infrastructure domain A strong understanding of the local market business and operating environment Tertiary qualifications aligned to construction project management consulting Experience in design management, project planning and delivery, and strategic advice A bias for action and a passion for working with a broad range of stakeholders Strong relationship-building skills and commercial judgement A creative and logical mindset for solving complex problems A collaborative and innovative approach, with a good sense of humour This position will provide you with wide exposure and create opportunities for career and professional development across the Beca business, both locally and across Australasia.
