We partner closely with our clients, ensuring they have access to experienced, senior professionals from day one. Our expertise spans multiple sectors, including Education, Health, Transport, Airports, Ports, and Water Infrastructure. We believe in sharing real-world knowledge, leaving our clients better equipped to navigate New Zealand’s complex project pathways. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to join our vibrant Auckland team. In this role, you will take ownership of complex projects, lead client engagement, and ensure successful delivery from inception through to completion. Depending on your experience, you may also have the opportunity to lead, manage and mentor project teams. If you already have people leadership experience, we can offer you a more senior role with leadership responsibilities. If you’re keen to develop into a people leader, we’ll provide the support and opportunities to help you grow into that space. This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys building strong client relationships, and can confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of projects to fully satisfy client needs and expectations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Actively engage with clients, understanding their objectives and maintaining strong, trusted relationships. Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful outcomes. Provide clear direction and guidance to project teams; mentor and support team members where applicable. Contribute to business development efforts, including client meetings, proposals, and tenders. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety obligations and company policies. About You To succeed in this role, you will bring: 8+ years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record in managing vertical build projects. Experience in directly managing people (line management) is a plus, but not essential – we’ll support you if you’re keen to grow into this area. Strong experience across design, procurement, and contract management phases. Consultancy and client-side project management experience is highly desirable. Knowledge and application of NZS3910/3916 contracts. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and emotional intelligence, able to adapt your style to suit different audiences. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong commercial acumen, with experience in managing project financials and performance. Relevant tertiary qualifications. Eligibility To apply for this vacancy, you MUST be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or have already secured the right to work in New Zealand and therefore hold a valid visa.
